New Ismailism is a branch of Islam based on Ismailism and Shi'a Islam. This branch believes in twelve Shi'ite Imams and considers Isma'il's legitimacy as a Ma'soom instead of an Imam.

Philosophy and teachings

Caliphate

New Ismailism considers a caliph in the absence of Imam Mahdi (Ajalallah). A caliph has duty to control internal affairs of religion, declaration of Jihad and choosing Ayatollah of Grand Mosque.

Caliph

Caliph means representative of Allah, and it referred to a theocratic leader at once. The term "Caliph" has an imperial rank, and its title is "His Imperial Holiness"; the original title of a New Ismaili Caliph is "His Ismailist and Imperial Holiness" and "His Imperial Majesty."

Muharremat

Muharremat means everything is Haram (Banned by Islam). New Ismailism has mutual Muharremat like other forms of Islam. Polygamy is banned along with marriage of a person under 16. Mut'a is banned along with the act of smoking cigarettes and the use of hashish and high drugs.

Punishment

By decisions of grand mosque in June 2014, all of punishments shall be what Islamic Punishment Code says.
